Do I need to make a booking?
It is best to make a booking for school groups so we can ensure you get the best rates for the age group of the students. Also with a booking we can arrange a guided tour with plenty of information related to your topic of study.
Do we need a guide?
You are welcome to self-guide your group around Hells Gate, however this is the same rate as a guided tour. Hells Gate tour guides will provide interesting information about the Hells Gate geothermal valley related to your topic of study.
What are the Rates?
Education rates depend on the age group of the students and program options included. Please contact Kerry Pearson (Sales and Education Coordinator) with the details of your group for more information.
Do you have a supervision ratio?
Yes. In order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all students we do have supervision ratios of adults that can accompany the students ‘free of charge’.
At primary level one adult supervisor for every five students is free of charge. At secondary level one adult supervisor for every ten students is free of charge. Additional adult helpers can accompany at a special group rate.
